Philippians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible)

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

Matt's beating me...

Okay I realize that guys lose weight easier/faster than girls....everyone tells me that...but this is just getting ridiculous!! Matt has lost yet aNOTHER pound! He's down to 182 now (from his starting weight of 200)!!!
I am working out twice as much as he is and I am the one doing all the work preparing the meals...why is he getting all the benefits??
WHAH! No FAIR!
Really, I am SO proud of him and I LOVE the way he is looking...but I just think it is MY TURN now to drop a few pounds. I am still stuck at 138-139. (I know you're gonna get sick of hearing abut my b-day--but just suck it up--cuz I've been this way all my life! ha ha) I only have 16 days to lose 8 pounds and get to my "goal" of being 130 by my 30th b-day. I'm not sure that is even possible-but I think I am going to take the advice of my great beachbody coach (thank you Randy) and start doing the Cardio X video in the mornings in ADDITION to all my other work outs. Maybe this will provide the extra "umph" that I need to get my metabolism going. I'm really uncertain about my eating though. Some people are telling me to up my calories (from good foods) and yet I feel like if anything..I am eating TOO much. I'm tempted to cut out carbs almost completely again...but then I'll never have the energy to do all these extra work outs.
Oh why is this SO dang complicated? It's like a math equation that never totally adds up.

Anyway, just wanted to say HOORAY for HUBBY who is looking like a HOTTIE more and more every day!!

Yeah, Never compare yourself to a man, it never seems to even out...

I agree with Randy's advice to pick up more cardio. I think the differance between Classic and Lean is Classic has one more strength day then Lean and Lean has one more Cardio day than Lean. So I think while doing Classic if you do and extra Cardio workout as well on the 3 days of Strength, that is considered Doubles. So I agree, I think that would take it up a notch Ü.

I have never been a beleiver in the amount of calories that P90X wants you to eat as a women trying to lose weight. They do tell you though, that this is not a weight loss program, but it can happen. I AM a beleiver in tracking EXACTLY what goes in your mouth and tracking EXACTLY how many calories your burning. This is the only way to know that you will lose weight. Anything other than that is guesswork. I do think once you hit your goal weight, and with the same amount of exercise regularly, you can then up your calories to maintain.

Go buy yourself a Good Heart Rate Monitor for an early birthday present, once you do, you will never want to exercise again without it! Ü

Congrats to Matt! That's great!

I know though, I always hate that Stephen can lose so much more weight, faster, than me. It's like he doesn't even have to work at it, and it just melts off...and I have to focus on ever calorie consumed and burned. Oh well, that's just the way it is.

Have you looked into those "body bugs" like they were on Biggest Loser? That might be a good way to help you track your calories burned each day, to help keep you on track. Just an idea... :)

I really hit a stand still in losing weight a few months ago on ww. I was SO frustrated (ask Joyce, I almost burned my ww books..lol). Then someone told me that I was probably not eating ENOUGH and that would ultimately slow me down. When I exercised, I didn't add any extra to my day...I thought it would help me lose faster. However, when I ate a few extra healthy snacks to add in some calories, my weight started dropping again. Anyway, I know you're not on ww, but maybe that will help. It's the hardest thing to add food because you think you will gain, but for me, I think my body thought I was not getting enough so it was holding on to the weight...
