Philippians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible)

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

Day 48 & 49

Wow, I have a lot to write...but I am reeeally gonna try to keep it as condensed as possible.
Friday-Day 48

The whole day was a little different from "normal" because we had a sleepover Thur. night and so we had 2 extra little bodies in the house--AND hubby took off work, so it was a full house.

We started the day out with a healthy breakfast of eggs, turkey bacon, 1 slice light ww toast, and a protein shake for the adults--choc. milk for the little ones.

After cleaning up the house some I did my DVD (Legs & Back) and then we made a picnic lunch and invited Rachael & Audrey over (the little girls' mommy and newborn sister) to eat & swim. For lunch I had a ham sandwich, raw veggies, watermelon and a low-fat brownie with fresh strawberries for dessert.

After some swimming (and baking in the sun) I was hungry again and had a strawberry yogurt cup (110 cal)

Then it was off to the shower to get ready for my big girls night out! A friend of mine had organized a suprise party for another one of our friends at PF Changs and I was so excited to be getting dressed up and going out with the girls! I looked up the menu before I left and was completely lost as to what to order, so I emplored the help of my fellow blogger bud and P90x-er, Candy. She helped me choose several options which I jotted down on a little paper and stuck in my purse. I also decided (by her suggestion) to eat a banana before I left so I wouldn't be too hungry. In the end, I ended up ordering the Vegetarian Chow Fun (rice noodles with veggies mixed in. 470 cal.) and my friend Lisa (who had also looked online ahead of time to figure out what to order) got the ginger broccoli & chicken (600 cal) and we decided to split them both.
Here's a pic of me and Lis.We didn't eat ANY rice and we both drank water....so we figured we both ate somewhere around 500 calories (we didn't eat it all). But then of course, there was the birthday cake. Too good to pass up...so we both opted for the skinniest peice possible and went for it. I decided it was worth whatever I was going to have to do to get it back off later. Even if it meant I had to get on the elliptical machine for half an hour--it was THAT good! ha ha You have to blow this pic up and see how GORGEOUS this cake is!! Btw, Michelle is the blonde (the party-planne) and Joyce is the girl in black--the birthday girl)
I had a really fun night and didn't get home till nearly midnight!! It's amazing how many hours 8 girls can sit at a resturant and just talk!!
I had intended on doing Ab Ripper X when I got home...but by that point, I was drowsy from being SOOO tired...so into bed I fell....

Saturday-Day 49
Up at 8:30
Breakfast: Egg white scramble, turkey bacon, 1 slice WW toast with 100% fruit preserves, small chocolate protein shake.
Clean house till 12:30 then make Lunch: Veggie burger on 1/2 bun (open faced), lettuce, tomato; 1o light Lays (40 cal), bowl of fresh fruit
Change into swim suit and go outside and play/swim with kids until 4. Throw on swimsuit cover up and go down to nursery to buy a tree (heard they were having a sale). Come back home, go by mom and dad's and wish them HAPPY ANNIVERSARY #33), then plant some flowers and the tree and take a quick swim again.
7 pm--come in and scarf down 30 pistachios while I talk to my brother about designing me a tattoo!!! (just a thought...but I have been saying I want to do something wild and crazy before my 30th b-day and it's just around the corner now!! I'm thinking of a small butterfly on my front hipbone--no bigger than 3 in wide--with Brooklyn & Grant's name 'hidden' in the wings. My bro. is quite an artist so he is doing me up a little sketch and then will e-mail it to me. We'll see...what do ya'll think?? I never in a million years thought I would EVER get a tattoo...but this would be something very meaningful...and it would be completely inconspicous unless I was intentially showing it off.)
7:30 pm--make Dinner: Grilled turkey breast salad (romaine lettuce, cucumber, bell pepper, banana pepper, tomato, carrot, FF mozerrella and a couple of croutons with lt. ranch dressing) with a strawberry protein shake (see sneaky summer smoothie recipe)
8:30 pm--Played a game with the kids (Disney Pictionary DVD game) and each had about 10 kernals of popcorn from the kids bowl.
9:30 pm--Couldn't find the "umph" to do Kenpo X--so decided to do ABX instead and made a promise to do Kenpo X tomorrow instead of having a rest day. I also did 20 fast boy push ups and 20 tricep dips just to add a little extra upper body in.
11:07--right now---think I'll say goodnight for now...Be back tomorrow!

That was a very good choice Jen, and that's great that you had someone there to order and share with. I thought you made a great choice. I really love rice, so for you to order it and pass it up shows great will power. I do see now that it was a choice between the rice and or the cake. The cakes looks beautiful and you made a great choice. I know you 8 girls didn't come close to finishing that cake, so someone is enjoying that cake this weekend I'm sure...

I love all your pics, you and your friends look like a lot of fun. You are all gorgeous girls, and your husbands are all very Lucky Guys...

It looks like your doing a great job on your eating and keeping up with your exercising and regular living.

Tatoo's, Hmmmmm. Never really been a fan of them for myself anyways, but hey, thats a personal choice that you should make yourself, you and your husband that is, and not really too much advice from the outside. My good Friend Debbie who introduced me to the world of blogging got a tatoo when she turned fifty, it is a very small flower on her ankle. It's very cute on her, and that was her thing. So if you do it, be proud of it and don't look back...

Sounds like you did not miss much at the Bass Pro. We had a good time, but with all you got done yesterday, you would of been disapointed.
