Philippians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible)

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

Weigh Day

Hooray! Matt was down to 194 this morning. So he's down a total of 6 pounds from when we started.
That was the good news.
Now for the totally-irritating-frustrating bad news...
I weighed 141 this morning. UP a pound. Grrrrr....
Any other time in life...I wouldn't think that was a very big deal....but right now, when I am eating SO healthy and carefully and working out DAILY...it just seems like at the VERY minimum, I would just stay where I am...but not GAIN! I had my heart totally set on FINALLY being below the 140's today and I just knew I was going to see 139 this morning. But, no.
On top of that...this is our "recovery" week where we don't do any weight lifting and only do core/strengthening exercises and lots of yoga and stretching. I feel like after that weigh in...I am ready to work DOUBLE hard this week so I can see a real improvement next Monday. Plus...add in the fact that we will be staying at my MIL's house this weekend (Thur.-Sun.) and won't be able to do our work outs OR eat our own food...it's just a scary combination.
Anyway, I guess I'll just "do my best and forget the rest" right? That's what Tony would say...and really, what other option is there?

I thought you were 141 last week? that is what the picture of the scale down there shows....if that's right, then you didn't gain...you just stayed the same. Which with eating the chocolate/junk foods when you were playing games with your Mom/Grandma, that isn't to bad.
Just hang in there, and don't give up. Remember Biggest Loser...when they had a good week, sometimes the next week was very minimal..but then the next week showed a bigger loss again. So hang in there, and don't give up.
BTW: we are going to be up there in OK, camping this weekend...Yea! But YIKES! I'm not ready to put on my bikini just yet. :o

Don't give up girl! You CAN do this. Keep in mind those big guns you're sporting do weigh more than fat - so it's very possible that you're gaining more muscle . . . . which will eventually burn more fat. Focus on how you look and feel and not the number. You are making such positive changes in your lifestyle and you are really an inspiration!
