Philippians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible)

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

Days 69 and 70

Sunday (Day 69) is always rest day for me. I plan to do the stretch video...and yet, in a year of P90X, have only done it ONCE! eeeeeeekk! Oh well...I guess that's why it says "stretch OR rest" on the schedule. I just have to have one day a week where I don't have to look at Tony Horton! :o)
Anyhow, I stuck to my guns about not eating bad on Sunday for the most part. The only mishap I had was that evening we decided to take the kids to the cheap movies to see Bedtime Stories. (Very cute movie by the way!) Anyway, I had promised Grant popcorn and he was NOT going to let me forget it. I only got a small...but it was still too much for him and I ended up digging into it a little. Not very much though...but still...just a little of that greasy, salty goodness and my stomach was turning! I was queasy all the rest of the evening and just as frustrated with myself for even tasting it.
Monday, today (Day 70). Oh what a day. I was jolted awake at 5:28 this morning by my bedroom door being flung open and the entire family telling me that Brooklyn had thrown up. On my way to the kids bathroom (crime scene) where the offense had occured, I was debriefed by Matt that she had "gotten some on the floor." THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR!
Let me tell you folks.....nothing could have compared me for what I was about to see when I walked into that room! It was like a bomb had went off. Every surface in that room had "evidence" on it. My new Pottery Barn Kids white linen embroidered shower curtain had been showered....my cute little matching rug was covered....the newly painted walls were splattered, the door, the sink, the toilet, the floor, the trash, the laundry hamper, the cabinets. You name it. I've never seen such a disaster. It seriously looked like she opened her mouth and projectiled the stuff while spinning in circles! (sorry, I'm probably totally grossing you out right about now). I actually ran out and grabbed my camera because I thought "no one is ever going to believe me when I tell this story about how bad it was unless I get this on camera as proof!" And I was planning on putting the picture on here for you all to witness but go ahead and take a moment to thank me that I didn't do it because I think if I had...you'd be losing YOUR lunch right about now. It was by far one of the nastiest things I have ever had to deal with. I won't describe it...but let me just say....I don't know if I will EVER eat a brownie again! EVER.
AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaanyway......after my 1 1/2 hour cleaning spree at the buttcrack of dawn, I got to wash about 5 loads of laundry and do the dishes before I finally took a break at about 8 a.m. Next, we took my car into the shop to be worked on. We knew it needed a few little things to be tuned up but we never expected them to say it was going to cost $1, 400.00!!! OUCH! Next, I decided to change into my gym clothes so I could do a Zumba video and then Chest & Back---sounds good....EXCEPT our STUPID tv in the living room STILL won't work and the kids were watching a movie using the other DVD player! GRRRRRR!!!! Talk about being frustrated! Eventually the kids movie got over and I did my work out in our master bedroom. Worked up a major sweat and worked my arms to the point of such exhaustion that I could hardly hold them up to wash my hair during my shower afterwards! Next we took Brooklyn to the doctor to see what's up with her. They gave her some anti-diarrheal meds and some anti-nausea and told us if she's not better by morning to bring her in for C-Diff testing (infection of the colon). Poor thing! She hasn't eaten anything of substance in DAYS! (well, except for those brownies on Sunday night! BLECHK!!!)
Tonight, after a dinner of salad and chicken vegetable soup, I did Ab Ripper X and then had a small bowl of my "light" banana pudding. YUM! I feel like it was a succesful day--despite all the set backs--I still managed to eat well and get in my work outs, plus, the kids bathroom is cleaner than it has been in YEARS! (and I'm CURED of my love for brownies!) Score!!!

Thanks for the reply...Christina and I lived in Tulsa from '95 - 2001. We loved it there and have always talked about moving back...except...we love Amarillo sooo much!

She grew up in Drummond, OK and I in Lucien, OK...(went to school at Covington-Douglas).

Thank you for NOT sharing that picture...us mothers can envision that just fine, and definietly don't want to relive it. (been there, done that..yuk!)

Guess that is one way to cure your sweet tooth though! LOL! You'll never look at brownies or chocolate the same way again. :)

Well it sounds like you did pretty good today.... I missed about a week and a half of workouts. I had my son for spring break. It was hard getting back into the X. I am really sore today. But I am starting my 2nd round of P90X and hoping to get my abs to bust out!!! But sound like you are doing great. You can go to my blog and see my pics. Keep it up.
