Philippians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible)

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

Day 20 & 21

Sunday and Monday.
I had really good intentions of doing StretchX on Sunday...but a quick afternoon nap won out. We didn't have much time between church, eating lunch and then heading back to church for a super bowl party at 5...so I just took a 20 minute snooze instead. (couldn't risk getting sweaty before the party!) Eating wasn't great on Sunday...but not as bad as I normally would have done at a party like that. I had a small plate of my favorite things and then stuck a piece of gum in my mouth. (that always does the stop-eating trick for me!)
Monday was supposed to be the beginning of our Recovery Week for phase 1. Yoga was on the schedule. As you guys know, I hate yoga, so I was going to replace it with something else. Well...something else ended up being falling asleep on the couch at 7:30 pm! We rented Open Season 2 and watched it with the kids after dinner and it made me sleepy. I was disappointed that I didn't get in a work out on Sunday OR Monday...but I also know that life happens sometimes and I am trying to learn "balance".
When your friends start describing you as "this is my exercise-obsessed friend, Jen" you know there could be a balance problem! (wow...how did I become THAT girl? That's what I used to always call YOU Kandy! ha ha)

yep - everything in moderation, even when it comes to exercise. I've been struggling w/ the same thing as I start this training now - to make sure that I am really present w/ my hubby when he and I are together - only focusing on training when I am in those moments and not letting it steal precious time away from the others.

Welcome to the CLUB! LOL!!!! :)

See, now that you LOVE exercise as much as I do, and the benefits, it's hard not to want to exercise all the time.

But your body does need it's rest, so it can recover from your hard workouts, so it's probably a good thing that you took a few days off. Your body needed the rest.

Finding a good balance between family, work, and workouts is very important.
