Philippians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible)

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

Day 47

As I always say..I love Saturdays! Today was extra special because one of my good buddies met me at the gym for classes today! She's not a member but she printed off the free 7 day pass they have on-line and came along. It is SO MUCH MORE FUN to work out with a buddy! Anyhow, we did kickboxing, zumba and then abs. I wore my HRM but I guess sometime during kickboxing my glove must have bumped the stop/start button and turned of it off. Bummer!--I was excited to tell her how many calories we had just burned...but oh well...she'll just have to come back again next Saturday so I can give her the count! (okay Tori? :o)
Anyhow, after a shower I had a bowl of Progresso Light Sante Fe Chicken soup with 1/2 a protien shake and then we all took an afternoon nap. My stomach got really upset and even now--4 hours later--I still feel pretty queasy. Don't know what's up with that...but whatever. We are going to try the Saturday night services at our church tonight and probably skip tomorrow morning. I hate missing Sunday School on Sundays...but once won't hurt too bad. Tomorrow evening is the volunteer banquet at our church and we are going. They are serving KFC!!! AUGH! It's not like you get to choose what you're having...they just give you a plate all made up. I haven't eaten breaded, fried chicken in YEARS! I guess I'll just scrape all that yummy fried skin off though and try to eat as healthy as I can. But I can just tell you this right now: I'm eating the dessert. :o) I'm a good girl most of the time but even good girls have to be bad every now and then!! :o) Have a great Saturday evening ya'll!

tip for Kfc-ask for extra crispy-then the shell of skin and fat comes off in one tug..voila-moist almost fat free chicken. :)

Hey there! I finally caught up on your blog and you are making fantastic progress! We started phase 3 today and we are so pumped.

I decided to shut down my blog because I felt like I was devoting too much time on the computer (blog, facebook, etc.) when I've got way too much on my plate. I'm really busy right now getting ready for our Women's Retreat where I'll be teaching a workshop. Our church is pretty big, 8500+, so it's a very big deal to be asked to do this. Anyway, I just felt convicted that I was devoting too much time on the computer when God clearly has other things for me to do. So, I've just decided to cut a few things out to free up my time between kids, church, lifegroup, Women's Retreat, etc. I'm sure everyone has to do that from time to time. I'll still be checking on you and you can read Jeremy's blog for updates on us.

Keep up the great work and your pics are AWESOME!

enjoy the banquet and the dessert. Ick - KFC! You know those chickens are doped up on hormones, right? The PETA people are always against them for their animal abuse - it's all really very disgusting! Maybe now knowing that you can pass on the chicken~

Work out buddies rock. Wish we lived closer to one another!
