Philippians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible)

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

Day 59

It was one of those "something is wrong with this picture" days. I found myself walking into the gym wearing a t-shirt, short shorts and a light jacket---while it was SNOWING and SLEETING outside! What the HECK? I had no idea the forcast was for a "wintery mix." Oh well...nothing like making you get into the gym quickly! ha ha
I did my 45 minute step class and then my 45 minute interval class. That interval class is always tough...but after doing 45 minutes of step, it really wipes me out. I wish I could do them in opposite order sometime and see how hard I could push in interval before I'm already exhausted! Anyhow, eating was not great today. I started out good with my normal Kashi oatmeal. Then a protien bar and fruit after my work outs. Later in the day (2:30 pm) I had a slice of cheese with some Kashi crackers and a little bowl of fruit. For dinner I made taco soup. It's one of our faves and I usually make it with lean ground turkey...but I realized we were out of turkey so I had to get a pound of ground beef from my mom. Instead of eating it like a bowl of soup this time, I poured it over a big bowl of chopped up lettuce and ate it like a taco salad minus the shell. It was SOOOO yummy!! If anyone is interested in the recipe...just let me know! Anyhow, tonight for "dessert" I had a Fiber One Oats & Chocolate bar (140 calories). If you're a Biggest Loser watcher, then you would have seen where on this week's episode, Bob gives Aubrey and Mandi one to eat and tells them how good it is for helping supply their fiber. What they didn't say enough was how GOOD they are! I know I just went on and on about the Skinny Cow ice creams last night....but these Fiber One bars are just as good! They are so chewy and full of chocolate chips. (and they supply 1/3 of your daily recommended fiber--which helps to keep you feeling fuller longer!)
Today's work out was supposed to be yoga, and I when I got up this morning I told myself I was really going to try to do it...but once I came home from the gym and took a shower, put on my make up and did my hair and got all dressed...I just did NOT want to change again and get all sweaty. Lame excuse I know...but it was so nice to just eat dinner and then just go sit down and watch t.v. and not have a million things to do. I hardly ever relax....so I don't think one night will hurt anything. :o) Goodnight y'all!!

I'm laughing because my wife and I were just discussing the Fiber One bars. I love the chocolate one as well, but the peanut butter is really good too. As for the recipe for the homemade taco salad, my wife would kill me if I didn't get it from you. So, I'm asking nicely for the recipe. :)
