Philippians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible)

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

dead scale

So, like I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, the battery in my scale died. I thought it was a 9V so I went out and bought a new one...and when I went to put it in...I found out it's one of those CR23 watch batteries I STILL don't have a working scale.
I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
One thing is for sure, it is FORCING me to rely on how my clothes are fitting and how I'm FEELING to tell if I am getting any results.
So far, my clothes aren't fitting much differently but I do feel a bit lighter and definitely more optimistic about the future. Matt told me last night that he is REALLY proud and surprised at my willpower lately. Yay! That means a TON to me. If he can see a difference (in what I'm choosing to eat) then I must be doing something right...better...good!
Anyway, I probably will try to get a battery for the scale sometime soon so I can get an actual number (because I need that proof-as silly as it is).
Even though I've been doing P90X again for 3 whole weeks...I've really only been eating right for 1 I don't expect a huge loss yet...however, I DO expect a significant loss by the end (as long as I keep this good eating up--and I AM GOING TO!) :o)
The first time I did P90X, I lost 17 pounds total. I'm thinking that sounds like a great number again. Let's see...starting weight was 144.4...minus 17 pounds...would put me at 127.4...which sounds perfect! Cheer me on peeps...I need to stay motivated somehow!

I lost 17#'s my first time too. Then gained some back & now I'm contemplating P90X again or another strategy (see blog). Keep it up!

Isn't that the best when husbands are proud of us? Or when anyone says they're proud of us? That always puts a little spring in my step.

Good on ya sweetie - you're doing great. That 127 has a nice ring to it!

Awesome Jen! You CAN do it!!! I'm cheering you on. If you ever need any extra motivation, or someone to talk you through resisting the temptation to eat something bad, just holler! :)
