Some of you might remember a while back (a year and a half ago when I was turning 30) that I was going to do something CRAZY to signify the end of my "young days" and the beginning of my "adult years". I ALMOST got this tattoo. My brother designed it for me. It has both of my kids names hidden in the wings as well as my favorite scripture reference. I love, love, love it and I can't imagine anything else I would want on my body permanently.
But..I chickened out.
I'm not typically a big fan of tattoos, but there is something about them...that I'm drawn to, too.
Anyway, I happened across this drawing again...and now I've got "the itch" to get it.
What do ya'll think? I would put it somewhere very discreet (hip probably).

Hi Jen! I thought I would stop by and say hi.
I started the P90X journey with my husband and we are heading into week 3 on Monday and so far I am loving it!
I'm excited to have found a blogger that is into it! So i though I'd come by and introduce myself, my name is Syl and my blog is attached to my profile!
I too have been wanting a Tattoo, I already have it designed I just need to get some courage to actually get it done! I am hoping once I'm done my journey i can get one! I'm about 15 - 20 pounds away!
I say get it, I am thinking of getting one myself.
I have always wanted one, but like you I am chicken. This year I will definitely get it.
I think it looks cool for a tattoo, but from what I have seen on tv, if you try to put too much stuff into a small space (like hidden names, etc) then it ends up looking like a blob later on. Unless the artist is REALLY good at what they do. I personally like the "clean slate" look on females, but thats my opinion. I have also heard a lot of people that have tattoos say they got one, and wanted another, and another, etc. that they are really addictive. But you know all about being addicted to "pain"..
I have a tattoo and don't regret it. I got it years ago when I was going through a really difficult time in my life and it has special significance to me. I don't know exactly what I'll say to my kids when they ask me about it later but I know I will be truthful with them and make sure they know I got it after A LOT of careful consideration. I say go for it, girl!
Good points Jamie. I never thought about how small I want it to be..versus..actually being able to see the detail/words. That would SO STINK if I got it and it wasn't clear. Also, I agree...I am ALL about the CLEAN look-ESPECIALLY on girls...which is why I would put it somewhere very discreet...where it could only be seen by my hubby or if I was in a bikini.
I really wish there was some way to get a semi-permanent tattoo. Like one that only lasted a year...so you could see if you REALLY love it...of if you would regret it.
I think someone should invent something like this. I think MILLIONS of people would love to "try out" a tattoo first before they sign on "the dotted line" forever and ever and ever. ya know!?!
P.S. Yes, it hurts. Getting poked over and over with a needle doesn't sound appealing when you really think about it. But it's not as bad as you might think. You are (as your beachbody site rightfully says) "one tough girl".
What does Matt say about it? I got mine before I met J and he's not a big tattoo fan at all. He said he "doesn't hate it" but I think maybe he doesn't like it because it reminds him of my life before I met him.
I don't regret the one tattoo I have but I don't think I'll get anymore. Just one. That's enough for me.
I also say... too much pain for me!. I love the idea of one only lasting a year-that would be a hit in the marketplace I'm sure! u should research some inks and see what u can find???? maybe you are on to a financial breakthrough with that idea! speaking of financial... maybe not a good idea to spend a couple hundred dollars on something like that right now---u know me, I'm always thinking practical ;)
I like the design. It's very feminine. Just don't get it on your lower back. That is a "tramp stamp".
I love tats (got 5!) but I especially like personalize tats like this one. I say get it if it's something you really like.
And love the thought of putting it someone discrete.
LET US KNOW IF YOU GET IT!!
You could try to find a place that does henna tattoos. Those last for a few weeks I think. It is a type of skin dye from what I have seen on tv. Thats about all I know about it though.
