Philippians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible)

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

By the way...just FYI...if I did get it, a professional artist would perfect it and color it in for me!
Also, if anyone wonders...No, I do not have ANY tattoos.

I love it. I am not a fan of permanent anything either, but I do think the butterfly is beautiful and it has really special meaning for you too.... I think if you and your family are comfortable with it, you should go for it...but you might want to go ahead and create an action plan for when Brooklyn wants one at 16 =)

Its too small for me to see any writing. I agree with Ashley, when we get piercings and tattoos then its easier for our kids to want them because it must be "alright" if our mom has one. and with kids growing up faster, it doesn't matter that u were in your 30's when u got yours...they will want it in their TEENS. ;0

I'm not a big fan of tattoos. Dont have any, and dont want any. I'm a chicken, don't like needles and dont want something drawn on me for the rest of my life, that will be all wrinkled and green when I'm old.
However, no one can make this choice for you. It's up to you, and what YOU want.
Have you thought about seeing how much it would cost to have a jeweler make this into a necklace or something for you? Or have your brother detail this design in colors and frame it?

Leviticus 19:28, which states: "You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves: I am the Lord."

I don't care for tatoos. I would not want my kids to have one. I don't look down on anyone that has them, but I just don't understand the appeal. Ink on your body that is permanent????? I don't get it. I also agree with the poster about your kids wanting them even more. More than likely they will want them anyway, but you having one will only say it is okay. Why not have someone even do a painting of this butterfly that is bigger where your kids' names could be seen and then all your guests could see it... since you said a tatoo would be some place no one would see. Just my opinion.
