Philippians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible)

I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.

Most Embarrasing Picture EVER

I can't believe I'm doing this....but....in the hopes that it inspires someone out there...I am posting this MOST EMBARRASING picture. My mom found this picture of me right before I made the decision to get in shape. It is from my 26th birthday party (July 2004). I was up around 190 pounds then and MIS-ER-UH-BULL!!! My marriage was falling apart, my self-confidence was ZERO and I had to take diet pills to even make myself get out of bed in the mornings. It was really bad. I would go to a store to try to find clothes and just cry because nothing fit or looked good except "old people" clothes. I pretty much hated myself.
This is really my REAL "Before" picture because this was taken right before I COMPLETELY changed.
Not only did I start working out, I started tanning, getting my hair and nails done and as soon as I lost some weight, I bought a whole new wardrobe. Subsequently, my self-confidence started building, my marriage became passionate again and my energy was soaring!
Most of you know "the rest of the story" as far as how I got from THIS to where I am now...but I'm happy to share it with anyone who doesn't know. You can also go to my Beachbody coach site to read my testimony.
So...there you have it--a picture of me at the worst I'll ever look/feel/be in my entire life. I am so glad I made the decision to get fit and change my life forever!

It's amazing how much you've changed. It must have taken a lot of guts to put that picture up, but it's always a quality reminder of how it IS possible to change and then go on and influence others to do the same.

You should be very proud of yourself!

wow. Is all I can say. Jen, whenever you are getting down on yourself (like when u say u aren't at 123 pounds or something) look at this picture and remember how FAR you've come! That is amazing and such a HUGE change! Even your face changed from round to triangular. You are so beautiful on the inside and out, and you should be proud of what you've accomplished-its hard work! way to go!

BIG change! HUGE change! Sounds like we both started our journey right around the same time in '04 - and I can totally identify with feeling an all-time low and finally making that decision to rise above it all. It never hurts to look at these photos and remind ourselves just HOW FAR we've come, especially on days when we feel we've failed or haven't given it our all.

I'm so proud of you Jen! You are such an inspiration!

I'm totally speechless. Mainly because I think of all the people who think they can't do it. You are one gutsy lady not for posting the picture (well, maybe for that too) but for pushing so hard, being so dedicated, wanting something so much, and committing to success. You're an inspiration plain and simple and I'm going to be showing this blog post to all my customers!!
